  A year-round indoor market operating since 1932, which makes it one of the few places to buy locally in February. Runs Saturday mornings all year and adds a Tuesday session in the warmer months.

  North Union Farmers Market — Shaker Square

  The region’s largest producer-only market, running Saturday mornings from April into December. Producer-only matters for a kitchen: you are buying from the grower, which is where a relationship for wholesale volume actually starts.

  The west-side North Union market, on the same April to December season as Shaker Square but an hour later in the morning. Accepts SNAP with matching, which is worth knowing if you are the one selling here.

  Regional pizza and foodservice trade show, sponsored by the Ohio Restaurant & Hospitality Alliance. Two and a half hours from Cleveland, which makes it a day trip rather than a hotel booking — the closest thing to a state-level equipment and supplier floor most Northeast Ohio operators will get to.
