What to ask before you hire
Take this into the call. No vendor gets to edit this list.
- Will you leave a service report at every visit and maintain a log I can hand an inspector? The paperwork matters as much as the treatment.
- Do you do commercial kitchens specifically, and are you familiar with what health inspectors look for?
- What is the service frequency, and does the price change if I need an extra visit between scheduled ones?
- What products do you use in a food handling area, and what are the re-entry and food-covering requirements?
- Will you inspect and advise on exclusion — door sweeps, gaps, drains — rather than only treating? Exclusion is what actually solves it.
- How fast can you respond if I have an active problem, and is that included or extra?
- What is the contract term and cancellation notice?
